Owner and Hot Dog Master Allan 'Big Al' Connolly opened the first Gourmet Hot Dog Mobile Food Unit in the Autumn of 2009, with a vision of creating Perths Tastiest Gourmet Hot Dog experience.

Big Al began life in Blackpool UK where tourism and fast food go hand in hand. Having begun working life in the Take Away Food Industry at Yorkshire Fisheries, he also consumed many delicious sausages and hot dogs over many years.

In 1992, Big Al  moved to Australia. He married his Soul Mate Dawn and they started their family, at the time of writing this in 2009 Jamie-Lee is aged 11 and Chloe 9.  Sadly  though in July 2008 aged just 38 Dawn lost her battle with Bowel Cancer and Allan, their children, family and friends were left devestated and overwhelmed with grief at such a senseless loss.

Unfortunately, time waits for no man, and after living in the Northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia for some years and having travelled the length and breadth of the State (and Country for that matter), Big Al noticed that there were few, if any Gourmet Hot Dog outlets  to be found in WA and thus driven to provide for his family and continue with his own contribution to the community was inspired to open the first.

Big Al is now dedicating his life to creating Perth's, Australia's and then possibly the world's Tastiest Gourmet Hot Dogs.

Before Big Al created his first mouthwatering masterpiece, he vowed to only use the finest ingredients, and prepare each dish with an infusion of patience, passion and love. Big Al tested all of his creations on family and friends before opening the doors of Big Al's Gourmet Hot Dogs and even the critics have been raving ever since. Diners also agree and frequently comment  "'Big Al's' Gourmet Hot Dogs have to be Perth's most unique and tastiest Hot Dogs"
